The one I've heard of that gives good cover is hiscox (might be hiscock).0

First flat normally suggests young person with fewer contents and simple requirements in terms of insurance. Any of the major firms like NU Direct, More Than and Direct Line would be able to cater for that market.
Hiscox have an excellent customer service rep but I think their contents sums insured start at £75k. NFU also have a good rep as well.
Personally, I tend to avoid supermarket deals since they treat insurance like any other commodity on their shelves. They want to offer a low priced proposition and their service partners trim the cover in order to provide this.0
