First Choice Refusing Refund

In April I booked a 4 star All Inclusive holiday for summer 2006. I received a letter yesterday stating that they had downgraded the hotel and now it was a 3 star. The hotel has not even been built yet, so I am not sure why they have done this. I contacted First Choice through my travel agent and they are refusing to give me a full refund. As a gesture of goodwill they will allow me to change my holiday without charge to another one in their brochure.

Am I stuck having to choose again or am I entitled to a full refund? :rotfl:

Start your complaint process with ABTA now; although you will need to get First Choice to put it in writing.

    I suspect you will win.

May I suggest you look at holiday-truth.com. On there is a free information pack written by a solicitor called Safe and Sound. It gives a wealth of information regarding package holidays and your rights. There is also very useful forums where you will hopefully find your answer. MSE is naturally still my fav site but this is a close second

Sorry my above post makes the solicitor sound like she is called Safe and Sound.
