I just tried the alternative memory test, it said -
Write protect error writing drive A - (c) 2001 Nec computers international
Unable to compute memory size.
I don't know if I'm capeable enough to check the memory but am willing to try if you can guide me in the right direction.
Thanks0 -
Don't know anything about a PB's physical layout, but generally there is a flap on the underside, usually held in place with a couple of microscopic screws (which leap out and vanish in the carpet if you're not careful!).
Have another check of the PB website - they may have a Service Manual that you can download. Don't forget to disconnect power & battery & guard against static.
Gotta go out now but someone else will be along to help, I'm sure!0 -
Thanks fwor you have been very helpful.
