Beware - you get what you pay for. Moneysaving is often a short term effect i.e. in this case you will probably have to re-do the painting sooner that if you bought a quality paint and thats not to mention the extra time in applying the cheap paint or the quality of it once its dried.

I think I'll stick to the quality brand, pay up in the short term but reap the long term cost savings and knowing it will look better ;)

Or like previous poster - if you're selling up, then it's perfect! :T
  • No reason to think the quality is going to be dodgy, BUT for the £3.99 it takes to get the emulsion paint you can buy almost any 2.5 litre can. Anybody who ever paid the "worth" price of £11 for 2.5 litres is going to have a VERY expensive decorating bill. It's only emulsion paint and that's about the going rate for such a small quantity (about enough to do an eight foot by four foot wall). No such thing as a free lunch?

Us too poppy, we've always used the cheaper brands of paint whenever we've decorated (and that's over a fair few years) and we've never had any problems with it. Only reason we need to keep decorating is we keep moving house ! hahaha

  • Went to get 3 tins today my local Sittingbourne branch and they refused showing me a fax they got this morning from head office, the fax state '1 per household' but i had my T&C attached to one of the vouchers he went to check with store manager, he inturn called the area manager and all stood by the fax!!! so i came home and have just finished speaking to customer services, who agreed that it is 1 per transaction so its worth calling customer services whilst in the store and they can put through all tins in seperate reciepts because thats how the store get ther money, number for
    customer services 01270501559.. :T
  • make sure you have correct customer service number i originally put the fax number in so this is the number you need

When out and bought a couple of magazines, took one into Widnes Focus. They are closing down and refused to take the voucher. asked to speak to the manager, who pointed out a notice by the tills saying they wre in the hands of the recievers and no longer accepted any Focus vouchers, They said they had never even heared of the offer and the cut out voucher didn't even say what the offer was for or how much it was worth (true). I got quite cross ( having made a 20 mile trip, and said as the shop still had Focus outside and the staff were wearing Focus uniforms they should honour the voucher, but they did not budge. Will try one that isn't closing down if worth the petrol.
