Hi,
Just bought a Dewalt SDS Drill and looking into it more it, it takes SDS Plus drill bits. Now i have loads of SDS bits here but unsure if these are SDS plus? As just tried 2 bits and none will slot in properly.
The bits i have look like this

Is there a diffrence?

afaik sds plus means the drill itself can stop the bit rotating on hammer action, for say chiseling. ie you can use it like a kango hammer.
cant remember if the old sds bits fit the new type drills.

If they are well worn bits, they may well have a burr on the shank, where the rotary motion is transfered to the bit. Dont always fit into brand new drills.
Have a look at that....0 -
They do work, my old SDS drill just needed to pull back the chuck and insert the drill bit. The Dewalt you need to pull back place the drill in and then turn it 1/4 of a turn and it slots in.
Thanks for looking anyway guys0 -
