New Dell PC

I received a new Dell PC on Tuesday and after setting it up there was no sound through the speakers.
I 'phoned Dell on their 0870 number and spent just over an hour on the 'phone with the problem not cured. The agent - of Indian origin - said they would collect the PC and have it repaired. I told her that I wanted a replacement PC. She argued that this was not possible. After some argument I told her that I was rejecting the new PC and wanted a refund. Again some argument, and then I said that in the UK I was entitled to reject the faulty goods under the Sale of Goods Act as well as the Distance Selling Regulations. She then agreed that a replacement tower would be sent.
I'm annoyed that I had to spend over five pounds on a 'phone call when it would have been free to a geographical number. I'm also aggrieved that I had to argue over my consumer rights.
I have written to Dell and asked for reimbursement of my call costs.
