I'm sorry to do this and please don't take this as a personal insult but are you daft?
You should be contacting the police immediately! I can't make this any plainer! This guy is breaking the law and you seem to be letting him get away with it??!?
He is using his position to possibly intimidate your mother or he is obtaining goods by deception or false pretences etc. He says he will pay her back but he obviously isn't doing so.
Also your council NEED ALERTING about this! They have a duty to make sure that the elderly aren't taken advantage of; he is clearly doing so!
Please post back on here saying you have contacted the police about this nasty piece of work!!!I like to save the money...0
