Now dont get me wrong, First Transport have given me alot of grief over the years with poor service and expensive rail fayres - so I'm pleased to be able to say something nice for once!
Last week my train journey from London Paddington to Penzance was two and a half hours late arriving into Penzance.
A lorry had collided with a bridge just outside Taunton causing it to collapse and the train had to be redirected all the way back to Reading and via Bristol.
It was a loooong and boring journey, but the staff were very nice and the buffet was completely free after we had been delayed for an hour, so journey was slightly cusioned by multiple packs of biscuits and several glasses of free wine (hic!)
Now technically I guess this delay wasnt First Rails fault but we were all informed that we would have our journey fully refunded.
Dutifully sent my form off with my ticket to First on Monday of this week and was massively impressed when I got a reply with an apology and a full refund in my mail on Wednesday morning!!!
Not only that but they had refunded my ticket for the return journey as well (maybe this was a mistake! shhhh  )
Big thumbs up for the Customer Services Office
Now if only they could make their trains go that fast!

Money to raise for tuition fees: £3000
When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on!!
