Does anyone know how much bills are on a one bed flat??

Hi there,

I have recently started renting a 1 bed small brand new flat and was wondering if anyone knew roughly how much the bills would be and how much i should be putting away each month? I think im with edf energy if that makes any difference?

I would be greatful for your help.

Many thanks,

What sort of appliances do you have? And how much do you use them?

    - Council tax - what band?
    - Water rates - standard or metred?
    - Electric - economy 7?
    - Gas - heating, cookers..?

There are a lot of variables, so it's very hard to predict. Is there any opportunity to speak to the previous occupants and find out how much they were spending?

  • I'm in a 1 bed flat on my own and I put aside the following:

    £16 Gas(British Gas)
    £16 Electric(British Gas)
    £15 water(United Utilities)
    £5 TV Licence

However, I think that badger lady is right in asking you for more info as there are many things that could affect just how high your bills are.
