Would you be annoyed?

I recently bagged up some stuff to take to a charity shop - some of it brand new and unused - and gave the bags to a friend as she was going to drop stuff up there ...

Anyhow, yesterday she came round with a friend who let slip that he had gone through the bags and taken one of the brand new objects for himself.

At first I didn't know what to say but having slept on it, I'm quite annoyed  (And it's not often I use that smilie). I had wanted the charity to make money not for some random person to keep it for himself ...

Am I overreacting or should I just chill out over it ..

next time you see them could you not just mention that that item was meant for the charity shop, and so it would be nice if they would make a small donation as they took the item?

I would just leave it as it's not worth bringing up.

not sure it's worth bringing up again - unless the friend does, in which case you could say something like 'and I hope you made a donation', but say it in a cheeky manner.
