Is this camera any good? Fuji Finepix E550

Amazon are offering the Fuji finepix E550 for £159. Jessops are offering it for £249 but will reduce that down to £185.
I am aware that it's a discontinued model but it seems a good buy.

Any advice welcome.

they have a refurb section and come with 6 month fuji warranty.

I have just looked but they dont have the 550 at the mo, the closest is the 500 but it is always changing.

Seems to be generally positive. Looks like it was only released in Sept 2004 so if it is discontinued then these companies rotate models pretty quickly these days.

Check out the Boots camera sale (with triple advantage points) to see if any of those are to your liking.

I have the s7000 which is similar and can vouch for the value for money of the fuji's.

I am sure that it is the model that ASDA are selling mega cheaply at the moment and if it is, then it is a good value camera.

Asda are giving away heaps of free prints with theirs, about £150 if I remember rightly, but don't quote me on that price.

I helped my sister buy the camera the last time it was on offer and she's had no problems with it at all.

Do Asda sell cameras? I have looked at the Asda site and I am unable to find any cameras.
