Ottakers - catch if you pre-order the new Harry Potter

Ottakers are advertising a free book called 'How to bring up baby dragons' when you pre-order the new Harry Potter. I went in to order it and was told that the offer was 'while stocks last' - no mention of that on the poster in the doorway.

But 'while stocks last' has a catch.

The catch is that they are taking in more pre-orders than they have stock of the free book. They didn't close the free book offer when they had taken the appropriate number of orders - they carried on taking orders and have adapted the while stocks last to apply to when customers collect their copy of Harry Potter - not when they order it. They say you have to be there at midnight on the 16th and one of the first in the queue to be guaranteed your free book.

Also, the first people to order - a few weeks back now - are completely unaware of the new twist and have assumed that they will get their free book.

After I complained the store staff took the poster away and I saw one of them writing on it.
