Get from Manchester to London late on a weekday

I was looking on many sites, but there seems to be no service for trains or flights leaving Manchester at 10.30pm or later for London.

Can someone reccomend me how to get back to London? Any coach service people can reccomend?

Thanks

National Express coach leave Manchester at 23.59 on a weekday and gets into London after 6am.

Another National Express at 0130 gets in at 0600 - it must overtake the other one or run a more direct route

Megabus also run the route but not overnight

There are trains but they tend to involve spending several hours in some god-forsaken hole in the middle of the night.

The only other option is to do a 1 way car hire but that will be pricey.

Finally, a cheaper option is to stay over in a Manchester travelodge and then get a train first thing in the morning.

    Which one do you reccomend?

And by cheaper, how much do you mean by, thanks! :)

I'd stay over and have a fresh journey in the morning. Travelodge - you may be lucky to get a £10 or a £26 room. www.travelodge.co.uk

Hiring a car 1 way is pricey. Possibly in the £100 region for 1 day. Also, do you want to be driving 200 miles late that night?
