Trying to negotiate their website getting an idea of prices, one problem seems to be though that they won't let you get a price for self catering unless there are '3 persons' in a party. As there is only 2 adults and an under 2 in party it won't let me see prices, however saying there are 3 adults and an under 2 and I get a message saying "OK you can see the prices now but we'll charge you for 4 people", which is fine. Anyone ever booked with 'fictitious' party members to get the price or would they get funny when you turn up minus a person?
(wanting self catering for the kitchen etc. due to juniors food/bottles what not which the B&B accomodation won't allow us to do)

I booked my last holiday through the butlins website although youngest fell into the 2-4 bracket so i had no problems getting aquote. However I actually booked for 3 adults and 1 junior as my mum was coming to stay over for the last couple of nights but they never queried how many was in my party when it came to checking in..personally i dont think they are too bothered afterall you have to pay for a minimum of 4 for self catering so as long as they get the money i'm sure they really arent fussed.
If i was you just put in the 3 adults and 1 under 2 and get the quote and if you are happy with the price then just book it adding the 3rd persons name as a member of family - I doubt very much they will ever question it.....and Have a good holiday

Hi
Have you tried having a look at the Half Board option? Ive just booked to go there in 2 wks time & half board was actually cheaper than self catering. That was for 1 adult, 2 teenagers & a 3yr old.

Butlins are also offering one free child place per booking for holidays in August. Offer valid until 25th July.0

we went to butlins earlier this year and went HB Deluxe room - i think that both the gold and deluxe rooms have a kitchen so you can warm up bottles etc!! it was also nice not to have to cook and to also not worry that little ones don't eat all their dinner when you've slaved over it!!!0

Yep.. i have booked with fictitious people added before.. As long as there is not more people travelling than stated then whats the problem.
It was cheaper for 2 half board rooms if i added a junior to the party ( there were 2 adults and one junior travelling)..
Butlins have some strange pricing policies..
It is cheaper to book 2 separate units of half board accomadation if there are 4 travelling than booking one unit (book 2 twin bedded or double bedded rooms instead of one unit containing a twin room and a double room). This way you get 2 bathrooms instead on one as well.. In school hols you can save £200 by doing this !!!. Ask for adjoining rooms in the special request column ( though you usually get 2 rooms next door to each other anyway).0
