not sure if this still works but I managed to switch to the pricefall tariff on Sunday 3rd after the price increases in online saver 4 tariff came into effect on 2nd Feb
So managed to save 15% (gas) and 8% (Electric) against the new Saver 4 tariffs
EDIT
Sorry looks as if this has already been mentioned here:

I phoned about the price fall and was told it is no longer available and I am on the best one energy saver online 4. I would like to try whether I can switch to price fall but am bit confused as there are two tariffs, one with standing charge and one without. Which one shall I go for, I am on eastern? Thanks0

I went with the option of no standing charge as on my usage it worked out cheaper and you pay for the fuel you use
Don't phone them.....log onto your account.
Select the change service option
then select Direct debit (you get a bit more discount using this option)
then select pricefall
then select the relevant pricefall option
Oops just realised that your with Eastern so you won't be able to switch. You need to be an existing Scottishpower customer to get the pricefall tariff switch0 -
I did same as OP. account switched within a day, just submitted a meter reading for the 1st Feb to make sure new pricefall prices are effective straightaway. Bit daft of SP buut gives a few months to work out what is cheapest(which at present isn't much)0

Seems more expensive if i switch from Online Saver to PriceFall on the Electric side and thats where my consumption counts, gas will start to slow to to next to nothing until next winter, British Gas seem cheap now for me anyway and they have had there price rises, ive only switched to SP this month can i move straight away ?0

Don't forget that British Gas haven't increased prices on Click Energy 4, but based on what they used to do with Click 1 then give it a couple of months and the price will go up.0 -

Just looked at Scottish Power website and noticed it was updated 6 Feb. Price Fall has vanished from the list of Products, although it still appears in the Prices list, so they seem to have withdrawn it.
Glad that I made the move last week. I also like the section on their website where you can enter your existing Scottish Power tariff and they show you a list of their alternatives and what they would cost so that you can compare and, if you are an online customer, switch directly.
I've been really tempted by their Fixed till 2011, but I calculate it would cost me £11 a month more (E7 electricity) than the Price Fall one, so I think I'll just stay put and see what's on offer when Price Fall ends in November.0 -

Thanks, I meant my region area is Eastern. After debating, I have switched to PriceFall online NSC. Is that the one, you are referring? I think, you have 14 days to switch when they announce their price increases, I might be wrong. Like somebody mentioned, the electricity price is higher on price fall for me. I use 314 kwh of electricity and 64 kwh of gas a month. The gas usuage will dropvery low in summer My bill forthis month is £80 approx. Gas is on all day below 20c. I do not know whether I am better off on price fall. I guess, I can always switch back to on line saver 4. According to their online comparison, online energysaver4 is best for me. Thanks for all your advice.0 -

I'm also on the Eastern region and if you compare the pricefall tariff with New OnlineSaver 4 tariffs that came into effect on the 2nd Feb you are saving approx 15% on gas and 8% on electric
The next step might be to compare the Pricefall tariff with other tariffs out there but at least you are better off than justing staying put on the online saver 40
