I think the spelling as 'Windoze' is a cynical comment on the time taken from power-on to a usable state. I know, it just irks me, in the same way people use M$ instead of MS. It was the kind of thing I did when it was fashionable to be anti Microsoft/Bill Gates when I was about 14/15. It would seem that it is still regarded as 'clever' in some circles among the 'teenagers who still know everything'.
