anyone been to Deauville/Cherbourg?

thinking of a short break to these places. what would you recommend? and what did you think of them? we are 2 adults with child of 1. it is for a 40th birthday.

    I’ve been to Cherbourg – actually very nice, I didn’t really expect it to be, but there you go. Nice little cobbled streets arranged in a maze style. Lots of café/bar things which were v pleasant. I don’t know how long it’s keep your interest but there lots of stuff nearby (particularly relating to Normandy landings, if that floats your boat). Nice place, and a pleasant surprise.
    if it's more than 10 stone, and that hairy, it's probably not a dog...it may be a wookie.
