I have to make a £16k purchase in April. Just wondering what might be the best card to make this purchase on in terms of cash back (or any other type of reward) - unlikely the vendor will take Amex, but most others should be fine. I would probably not use the card afterwards.

Egg Money would pay 1% cashback, and its a useful "mule" card for the future.0

but you wpould need to preload the majority of the money into the account first, as egg money will not give anyone that kind of limit!!
Capital One, have a cashback card which pays 1% also I think, might be worth checking out.

I think Cap1 have a 4% intro period as well for 3 months.
I also believe this is a grey area with preloading (if that's what you are doing) as some cards forbid it in the terms and cons, the transaction is also not covered by consumer credit regulations as you used your own money - not provided with credit for the whole amount.
SkyCard 1%.
I did a lot of spending for renovating my house on this and stacked up lots of points that I use to slim down my tv bill now.I beep for Robins - Beep Beep
