Getting between Paris airports?

Hi,

We are looking at booking a flight to Montpelier in France, but we are having to change at Paris (it's cheaper!).

Outgoing the flight connects at Charles e Galle. On the way back the first leg lands at Orly and the second takes off from Charles De Galle.

Does anyone know how easy it is to get between these airports? Can we just hop on a bus? We have three hours between connections.

Many thanks

Here's the airport's website: http://www.aeroportsdeparis.fr/ADP/en-GB/Passagers/AccesAuxAeroports/DUnAeroportALAutre/dunaeroportalautre.htm it suggests taking an RER train.

I remember seeing something about an Air France bus linking the two. I can't find any info on that though.

When searching I did find this though. It might be a bit out of date because te site looked a bit old:

    Roissy Bus
The Roissybus is a special RATP service between Roissy/CDG and 9, rue Scribe (9e arrondissement) near the famous Opéra Garnier, in the heart of Paris. Running between 6:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m., the Roissybus departs every 15 minutes (or 20 minutes after 7 p.m.), and the journey lasts approximately 45 to 60 minutes. The bus stops at the following airport terminals:

    Aérogare/Terminal 1
    Aérogare/Terminal 2
    Aérogare/Terminal 3 (formerly T9)

The one-way Roissybus fare is €8,20. Other valid fares — when purchased for Zones 1-5 — include the Paris Visite pass (1, 2, 3 or 5 days), the monthly Carte Orange, or the yearly Imagine R (on weekdays only).

If you're still confused (I know I am), then try ringing the airline or the airport.

Thanks guys, just what I had been looking for - there was a snippet on a website I found, but that whole page blindman is fab. Thank you so much this has put my mind at rest that we won't have to panic and grab an expensive taxi.

    Many thanks S_C

BTW There are Air France flights from London City Airport to Orly on Mondays to Fridays only, not weekends. Also the https://www.orlyval.com train from central Paris to Orly.
Check with the Air France website if ground transportaion is included with your ticket.

Correction richardw, Orlyval runs between RER station "Antony" and "Orly Airport Terminal West and South). To get to Antony you need to take the RER from Charles de Gaule. the whole journey takes just over 1 hour. If you are not too advanturous I recommend the AirFrance buses airport to airport.

I have used the Orlyval train once, I used "Paris" because I couldn't remember the exact stations that I used. Is three hours going to be long enough?

Three hours is plenty time to get from CDG to Orly by any of the transport methods mentioned herewith. It's just over 1h with the Air France bus connection (watch traffic...) or a safe 1h20 with RER/Orly Val). Do'able.

Word of Warning - the Air France bus connection between the two airports is not as frequent as one might expect - and if you are doing this during the peak traffic periods, this journey can take up to 2 hours as the Paris traffic is dreadful at these times. I had to do this a few weeks ago (due to problems with my plane). Don't know what the price for the journey was, but I think if you're an Air France traveller or Flying Blue (loyalty card) member, you should get issued with a 'Transit' Bus Voucher.
