I am trying to have beans on toast a couple of night a week - or baked potatoes, but we do need to keep healthy so I don't want to go too far.
Havent read the whole thread so someone may have picked up on this already, but was too shocked by this quote to carry on reading without jumping in with a reply. I am continuously amazed by the idea that 'healthy' = expensive. Where on Earth has this commonly held belief come from? Without exception healthy foods are cheaper and more accesible than processed frozen rubbish.
You can purchase a weeks supply of veg for £s and if you live in a rural evrionment then there are surely farms seeling direct nearby? My partner and I spend about £30 a week on food and we consider that to include a few treats! 5 nights out of 7 it will include freshly prepared unprocessed food but alas sometimes we resort to meals with minimal prep!
Anyways, good luck, a journey of a 1000 miles starts with a single step so get going now and things will get better in time!
