Poll - What do YOU THINK the MPC should do on 7th Feb?

sorry !!!!!!, but I'm going to have to take you to task again.
explain, please, why you think ds1980 should take personal responsibility for his own actions?
and why should he not take decisions with regard to financial matters that ultimately impact on us negatively?
I'm waiting...
while I am, I'd be grateful if you'd expand on your discomfiture at the abusive posts he's posted against you.
what, exactly, is the problem? he's young, energetic and looking to make his mark.
make allowances.
if there are some issues with personal debt/dishonourable behaviour then get used to the fact that this is a matter for all of us. not him. US.
I'll be clear on this, once and for all: understand a little more; and condemn a little less.
I'll be monitoring your posts more closely in future.
I was hoping for more from you.miladdo0 -
actually, I should take some responsibility of my own and not post twice.
(blasted laptop).
still doesn't let you off the hook, ytf.miladdo0 -

Hi danny
Would i be rude if i asked what you were saving for?0 -
I'm not Danny, but I save for holidays, Christmas, day to day shopping, one-off items, unexpected events, risk of not being able to work, pension.mr.broderick wrote: »Hi danny

All but one of those are things that most get into debt for.Conjugating the verb 'to be":

Aaah - I think I'm getting it. ds1980 is up to his neck in debt and takes umbrage at anyone condemning his actions. Dammit - it's all the fault of the government who should protect people from making stupid decisions!
Just seen the post. Debt? Never ever had any never will i.
Just bought a new car for cash. Not a 4x4 but a sensible family car for the family. I work hard and earn mmy money like any one else. Just because im more successful that most doesn't make me a bad person. I have never ever got money freely i never got pocket money and worked from age of 10. I come from a background that if you havn't got the cash to bu]y something then you dont have it. I have never had a credit card either. I have £25k of debt for being a student but i don't let this worry me as ill never pay it back. Now i can afford a decent accountant this wil always be the case.
!!!!!! sorry if your a has been but please make some room as im coming through!0 -

Not at all. I consistently put away 20% of my earnings each month. I'm aiming to save an amount whereby the interest pays for all of my monthly outgoings.0 -

How can you say you're not in debt then? you ARE in debt to the tune of a £25k student loan!!!, just cos you have a good accountant, does this mean you don't have a responsibility to pay that money back to the society that funded your education which in turn allowed you to have a successful working life?
I am astonished you are harping on about how people should not live beyond their means when you have a debt like this yourself
maybe you should have spent the cash you paid for a brand new car on paying your student loan off firstTotal unsecured debt July 08 - £46, 311.88

I'm guessing the car wasn't brand spanking new?? Financially savvy people generally don't buy new cars as a rule. Even if they are filthy rich. New cars are a really bad investment as a result of the depreciation.
Next time you're driving around town and you see an 08 plate BMW, there's a good chance that the person behind the wheel is up to their eyes in credit. Keeping up with the Jones's is an expensive game. I personally just don't get it, but each to their own I guess.0 -
year old about £8k off list price new.
I dont see a student loan as a debt. What about all the people that got education for free. Should they all pay up now? This website is about saving money and i do that!0
