Anybody ever heard of these guys?

Apparently they are based in Switzerland, is there any way of checking the authenticity of a financial firm in Switzerland? One of their employees called me up the other day, went on about investing in the USA, minimum 1500 pounds for 12 - 18 months, and using escrow agents of their choice to do the dealings.
Has anybody heard of this before, or is this some sort of scam? All advice appreciated!

Check lots of threads over the last year.
These are scams and should be avoided at all costs. You will have no protection under FSA rules and there is a consumer alert for this sort of thing on the FSA website.
