PRICKLY HEAT and it's driving me insane. Sat here with a damp tea towel on my shoulders to try and stop the itching. I am taking Piriton but am wondering if anyone else knows of a remedy?

Hugs ((((Raptorman))) I know what it's like to be awake in the middle of the night feeling that no one cares! Mayeb some calamine (Sp?) lotion might help too? Or some tea tree oil in the bath?Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p

Thanks for the hugs lillibet. I dont have any calamine 'sob', and only have a shower which would wake my wife and daughter. It is easing a little now with the damp tea towel but I know that wont last long."Gort, klaatu barada nikto"

Humm.........I've just opened our back door & the cool night air is loooovellllllllly, maybe if you can get outside for a while? Or if you have an electric fan a damp towel hung over it whislt on it's lowest setting will cool the atmosphere in the room, don't know if this would directly help you though? Other than that I can only think of comfort food & a favourite film to try & take your mind off it & cheer you up, not the greatest medical advice in the world I'm afraid:rolleyes:
I'm going off line now, hope you feel better & aren't too tired in the morning:beer:

Bit late now, and don't know if it would help, but I'm using one of the plant spray things to squirt water all over me when I get too hot. Bit quieter than the shower ...Signature removed for peace of mind0

I hate the hot weather as I really suffer in the heat.
I like the sunshine, but it gets on my nerves when the weatherpersons break out in a smile and say,"Good news, its going to be scorchio, with temperatures in the 90's for the next 3mths."
What I do is keep baby wipes in the freezer. They do freeze into a block, but if you know when you're going to need them the defrost really quickly, and they feel lovely.:j
You can spend your time alone re digesting past regrets,
Or you can come to terms and realize you're the only one who can forgive yourself.
Makes much more sense to live in the present tense.

This reply is a bit late - but may help in the future.
Get a cucumber and cut some thin slices off and rub over skin - letting the juice dry on the skin - it is really cooling - all natural and cheap."This site is addictive!"

And Aloe Vera gel kept in the fridge might also help - or any moisturising things you have to hand.Signature removed for peace of mind0
