I made my mind up over christmas to order an Alienware PC. On arrival i set everything up tried to switch it on but nothing. So i sent it back and was told it would be around 10 working days before i get it back which i was willing to wait. After 10 days and several phone calls to them my NEW pc hadn't been fixed. When i still got no joy after saying i would cancel i cancelled it and was told id have to wait another 10 working days before i got my money back :mad: .
Has anyone else had this problem? and if you have how long did you have to wait until you got your money back?

Probably standard Dell policy. I don't think Alienware tend to do too well in the reviews compared to other high end/gaming specialist companies. I think Scan and Vadim tend to come out better (in terms on customer service as well)."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

I dont rate then at all now. They are very polite on the phone but tell you next to nothing until you threaten to cancel. I just hope i don't get hassle over getting my money back :mad:Don't listen to the bad things about Vista its the best :beer:

Well even before your post, if I was going to buy a high end gaming rig I would have gone for someone like Vadim or Scans 3XS systems rather than Alienware. I can't remember what specifically put me off them but it may due to be the fact that there are a lack of glowing reviews etc for them."She is quite the oddball. Im now looking at buying a system from CyberPower System. I've read alot of reviews and been through their forum and they seem to be an ok company. Just going to keep my fingers crossed and do more searching before i buy my new system.Don't listen to the bad things about Vista its the best :beer:

A friend of mine had an Alienware laptop, and had no end of trouble with it, and its replacement iirc. Alienware were less than useless too.
They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -
It seems i've had a narrow escape. Even the Lady at DHL knew about Alienware and said they have loads of stuff being shipped back to them from the UK.Don't listen to the bad things about Vista its the best :beer:
