Nissan Serena. Advice Please
Hello All,
GF Has a Nissan Serena, that is constantly overheating, Heaters inside often blowing cold air, and Temp Gauge nearly on Red, however sometimes it will steady itself down and go back to normal, Temp Gauge back to half way and Heaters actually blowing Hot Air.
Any Ideas anyone??

It sounds like a sticking thermostat to me, quite a simple replacement on most vehicles.0

I used to have a nissan vannette cargo, this was common on our fleet of these vans, replace the thermostat,it fairly simple to do,open up the seats, remove centre console and you should get to it pretty easily. when you have done this, top up the coolant then remove the curious looking hose end that sits at the top under the bonnet untill you get all the air out of there, refit a top up coolant again and it should be fine.
a thermostat should only cost a few quid....work permit granted!0 -
before replacing the thermostat which it could well be,try bleeding the water system an airlock can give the same effectI MOJACAR0
