    Pound a pint deals don't help students' livers much but no-one's forcing them to get wasted.

    Your post interested me as I got my 1st Barclaycard when I was a fresher because I got a free mobile phone with it. I didn't know it then I was a MSE in the making.

    Mr Phirefly and I were just talking about how I'm likely to have my Barclaycard withdrawn amid the current hoo har as I've paid my balance in full every month for the last 10 years. They've made zip out of me. So to me hard sells and glossy deals can't be even parially blamed for irresponsible borrowing.
