Wednesday 6/02/08 What small dfw thing have you done today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Today I will;
  • Check for clicks
  • Check online banking
  • Try and have no spend day bar from hospital parking:mad:
  • Update my spreadsheets for last months budget
Hi to everyone, and welcome to any new posters:hello: Hope you all have a good day.

  • Scooped the change from the bottom of my bag and added it to the savings jar (which has been shrouded in industrial strength gaffa tape), a few clicks here and here, and added wrapped some ebay parcels which are being posted today.
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

  • Hi all,

I am new to posting on here but I actually have a few things planned for today...
    • Organise stuff to put on ebay - I have loads lying around but its just been a case of getting round to sorting it out.
    • Work on my SOA as I really need to look at where things are going.
    • Go through cypboards and freezer to sort out food so I can stop going shopping for something to eat when I know I have plenty in the house.
    • Pay off some installments to some companies I am in arrers with.
    Think thats about it...

Today I am going to chase up Pigsback as I am due £51 (5,100 points) for hotel and train ticket bookings that were meant to track within 24 hours (= midday Tuesday).

I have some cooking planned for the freezer, the WM is chugging away with the load for the radiators tonight, and I hope to do a little sewing for my present box.

Family 'found money' monthly challenge: OH found 2p yesterday, so at least we are off the starting block, but DS2 has 20p and DS1 has 10p, so lots to find!
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.
