Try Napisan. You can find it in either Asda or Tesco by the washing liquids and powders. Its far cheaper than those optical brighteners. I keep my towels lovely and white by putting a teaspoon of powder in with my powder/liquid.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I'd dye them.. they will never be truly white again anyway so whatever you do will be a waste of time money and effort..
I had some which I would add a cap of domestos to the wash but that yellows them anyway so it isn't worth the bother.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Hi everyone ,I have only just found this board so this is my first reply....
I find that Ace in wash bleach keeps all whites ,lovely and white when done on a boil wash in the machine, wash as normal with your usual powder and then you just pour it in the soap drawer when the water starts. It also works on colours,it keeps them bright, also smells quite nice. Get it from poundland ,and save money too.
Hope this helps.

I always used to use biotex, but vanish stain remover that you put in with your wash does as well. I'd be wary of using bleach, but hanging them out in the bright sunshine should help too - if you can wait until summer! You can also get net curtain white from places like Woolies and Robert Dyas and I think they do one for dingy underwear too. I'd try that and then if it fails, choose a nice colour to dye them!0
