I went to my next branch 11.30 am, had a fab time, no queues at the tills & no one fighting over things, got loads of things for my 14 yr old daughter & for my 9yr old son but nothing for my 11 yr old, mind you she wont be that bothered, she'd much prefer a football shirt ! :j

Same here, got the shirt I was looking to get a while a go - £25 down to £12.50. Apart from the annoying woman who brought all her infant babies into a clearance sale....everything went quite well - changing rooms were closed as normal, but hey!

Hubby bought a pair of jeans in store today and they do not fit. I was wondering if anyone knew how to translate the code on the jeans so that I could order them online? Please help!

Why do women do that ? I held off and went about 2pm and there were 3 of them with kiddies and buggies in tow. It's not that I dislike kids, I have 5 of them ranging from 18 months to 20 years old but I left all mine at home. It's really no fun for them.
I picked up a couple of tops I liked but look awful on so they will be going back. I really wanted to get things for my 2 little boys but there was about half a rail of boys stuff and half a shop full of girls stuff, whats going on ?????

Sadly i do agree. I went at 7 am (son left asleep at home :)) and they had lots of babys in pushchairs (with fathers strangely enough in tow, erm maybe its just me but one parent could be left home with baby?)

I normally get lots of things for my son but got very little today. They must think only little girls like clothes :(

I personally wouldn't take my toddlers with me - I can only imagine what a crowd of adults in a Next shop would look like from their perspective. It must be like Land of the Giants to a little one!

I had to laugh today, though - I bumped into an old work colleague who had her two and a half year old with her, and she was breastfeeding him whilst grabbing the bargains! She was walking around with her shirt partly undone, whilst he was in a very strange position across her body having his breakfast (He must have a monkey grip, because she wasn't holding on to him). The funniest thing, though, was when she asked a man standing next to her to move out of her way - he did a double-take, and then kept alternating his gaze from the mens suits to her son guzzling away. I felt so sorry for him, he just couldn't stop glancing at her even though, judging from his red face, he obviously found it embarrassing to do so.

Tip ! The stores will be getting new sale still in over night so its worth going back today. I work there so I know ! Our store (which is small) was getting about 200 crates of stuff in last night, which will be put out over the course of the day. People think they need to get there at 5 am but there is little point as new stuff is put out all throughout the day...happy shopping ! :D

I have to say I agree about if you can leave kids at home it is better BUT my husband is in the forces and I am on my own most of the time so If I had no-one else with me I would take my kids shopping, as I don't think it's anyones right to say you shouldn't go shopping just because buggies get in the way etc. and with 2 kids clothes are not cheap so I wouldn't want to miss out. Luckily though this time my mum had my 2 for me, but I did take my dd last year to the christmas sale and I was also 7 months pregnant at the time and my dd was good as gold!
