My Mom used to save margarine tubs & jam jars (for whatever reason) and I vowed NEVER to go down that road :D

Glad it's not just me with a problem! And why do the lids/bases lose themselves??? It's as big a mystery as the single socks in the washing!

The thing that really annoys me is when you put them facing downwards in the top rack of the dishwasher and no matter what you do... when you open the dishwasher and pull the rack out you get covered coz they've turned the other way up and are full of water

OH has 3 small lunches each day  (as well as breakfast and dinner) so I feel like I'm forever washing the things up

And why are they the only thing in the dishwasher that ISNT dry when you open it?

I too have a plastic tub collection - but they are soooooo useful, in fact I'm off to Home Bargains this dinnertime to get some more :D

My lovely DS1 offered to buy takeaway for OH and myself a couple of nights ago. He told us to choose which one we wanted - Indian, Chinese or English.

Guess who (without consulting OH) immediately chose the chinese food from the English takeaway - for the only reason that it comes in the lovely re-useable plastic containers and not the foil dishes or polystyrene things :j . OH's Chow Mein came in a lovely big container - so deep it will hold a portion of home-made casserole plus 2 dumplings :T ! I was more excited about the containers than about the freebie meal - how sad am I  !
  • We have just recently invested in a few lock n load (?) from Lakeland as we had loads of old tubs. I did use the £10 off a £25 spend though or bought £25 of vouchers for £15 and used instore. They are neat and stand on top of each other.

I have a bin with plastic storage boxes but I rarely see the bottom of it because I seem to use the same ones over and over again. I also have tupperware in use that I've had for over 25years! I'd never ditch the tupperware but I think I'll have a cull of the other ones.
