For some time now we have had problems with what can only be described as fraudsters re-selling our Whoopydoo holiday vouchers on auction sites such as Ebay. A few people we contacted hadn’t read the T&Cs which specifically prohibit this practice but many simply told us to shove off and continued to sell the vouchers. They still do so but now sell the scratch card which is contrary to the Gambling Act.
The problem is that they mis-describe the vouchers and don’t provide the buyer with any of the terms and conditions of what they are actually buying. This would certainly fall fowl of the latest consumer legislation that came into effect May 08.
About the middle of 2008 we became aware that people were asking questions regarding our vouchers on this site and the replies were invariably incorrect and often opinionated rather than factual. We thought that some of these could be malicious posts from some of the people we had ‘caught up with’ on Ebay. So we decided to reply to some posts under the same username we had used on Ebay to try to flush them out.
Nothing happened so we thought we must be wrong. So we stopped trying to be clever and then tried to answer any concerns as Whoopydoo. As you will see on some other threads on this site.
Then ‘bingo’ along comes ‘Watch-dog’. As the only way anyone could know that Pa1antir7 is Whoopydoo will have been to be caught fraudulently selling our vouchers on Ebay as we suspected.
Our ‘trap’ has now been sprung, and from your last post we do now know who you are 'Watch-dog'

We had to send you a letter on the 18th December 2007 threatening legal action if you did not stop trying to fraudulently sell our vouchers.
You then rang our customer help-line every 10 minutes for about 2 weeks and hung up every time. When we then told you that we knew that it was you, you finally stopped.
Should you continue to make false public statements then we will have no hesitation in taking the appropriate legal action.0 -

Dear Mr Kent,
Thank you for posting and putting my mind at ease.
Without your useful post I may possibly have been unsure as to whether or not your scratchcards were worth the paper they are written on, however your post has served to assure me that in all likelihood your scratchcards are most certainly not worth the paper they are written on and that if I were to list my top ten people I would not wish to do business with, you would be up there with the best of them.
Perhaps you are simply not bright enough to appreciate the negative image of yourself that you continue to portray with the web you weave, however rest assured that in the event that the penny should finally drop, I have chosen to quote you and record your comments for posterity.
Yours Sincerely,
Tojo Ralph

I've got no idea how they can afford to keep sending me on hols as there is no timeshare or anything dodgy like that.I've just go back from another holiday courtesy of a Purely Creative scratch card that gave me a greek island cruise voucher from whoopydoo.
They managed to get me a hols to Malaga within 3 days of my preferred dates.
Iit cost me £113pp inc the processing fee, taxes and airline fuel levy so I saved a bucket load.
This is now my 3rd holiday!!!
Now how can this be a scam??

I received vouchers for a Tunisian holiday for two,or a 7 day self caterind,or a weekend break away and I was thinking of following it up but after reading details provided by the forum,I guess I will forget it.It was tempting as I havent had a holiday fo four years but I guess someone in my position would want to believe it,so becoming good targets for the company(if there is a company!!0

The old saying, "If it sounds too good to be true, it will be" stands the test of time, unfortunately crooks thrive on peoples hope that they have found the bargain of the century, and really you just need to ask, why is this firm offering me such a fantastic offer which they could sell on ebay as a package holiday for a lot more and still get loads of interest, it's a shame but crooks make a good living out of these scams and con's0

Hi there, I just wanted to tell you my experience with the scratchcard holidays. In December 2009 I stayed in a beautiful apartment overlooking the sea in Alberfueira, Portugal courtesy of a "Purely Creative" Scratchcard. As a person ALWAYS looking for a bargain so I didn't pay the premium rate number on the sctarchcard instead I sent off for a claim number (read the small print on the back of the scratchcards). When the claim number arrived I filled in the back of the sctrachcard sent it off and waited. About a month later I received an "Avanti" holiday voucher, where I had the choice of going to various locations in either Portugal, Tenerife or another location in the Canary Islands. We had to pay for flights so I chose Portugal because I found flights for £19.99 return from London to Faro courtesy of the money saving experts flight checker no less
. To be fair I didn't expect much from the Apartment but was VERY pleasantly surprised when we arrived at our 2 bed 2 bath beautifully clean apartment where I stayed with my sister, boyfriend & son. We had a fabulous week and would love to go again.
With the Avanti voucher I could choose and book the date I wanted online or by phone (subject to availability). So there definitely is such a thing as a FREE holiday - The apartment cost me the price of 2 x stamps. :T:T
As for Whoopydoo though, I sent off my voucher and a payment of £78 (2 people at £39) for a weekend City break in Amsterdam in late 2009 including flights and am still waiting for confirmation of my holiday - I will post again once I know the outcome of that one - but in the meantime I would advise anyone to read the small print on the back of the cards and if the holiday option is from AVANTI then definitely look into it because I can vouch for the fact they are 100% bonifide.
Cheers and HAPPY FREE HOLIDAYS :beer:0 -
It would be more impressive if this was not your first post.
You had a great time !! and rushed to tell us on a completely new forum too yourself.
So I will take the huge gamble of consigning any Scratch cards straight into the bin.
Looks like I will stick to travelling with Mr T. Cook and/or Mr Thompson.0 -
Hey Wallbash, you're funny. I don't see why you have an issue with my last post being my first post, but hey that's fine. As for rushing to tell everyone about my FREE HOLIDAY - I actually went in December 2009, so if you think that taking 8 months to write it is rushing... well what can I say. The reason I wrote the post is that I visit this site a lot and saw this discussion and thought I'd contribute to it by adding my experience. Skeptics will always be skeptical I suppose.
Have a great day Wallbash!! - and in future rather than binning your sctrachcards you could always send them to me..... lol0 -

Dear Sir,
Firstly, please do not take any offence if I have got the two companies confused, but AIM Solutions - from your own admission you have some dealings with the working AIM Solutions, of which, AIM Solutions is listed on Companies House as Dissolved, yet A.I.M Solutions (just below in the companies house listings) is now trading.
Could you please confirm if A.I.M Solutions and AIM Solutions are linked in any manor, the reason for my question is, if you search for either company on 'Google' (other web search engines are available) they direct you to the same web site.
Looking forward to your reply.0
