I wrote to three credit card companies 10 days ago asking for a refund of charges. Got the first reply today. I've been offered half of what I requested as a good will gesture - which I will accept. I know I could push for more, but as this has been so easy and I hate hassle I am going for the easy option - one letter to gain £140 refunded onto my account - and as my limit (and balance!!) is only £500 thats a good chunk on the way to clearing it.
So folks if you haven't already asked for money back - send that letter. It's worth it
