chargeback via paypal for ebay goods

I listed some items on ebay back in Nov 2007, the person who purchased my goods, paid via paypal, the goods were sent recorded signed for, to the address stated on paypal and I had also been left positive feedback for the goods.
In Jan 2008 this person filed a chargeback via paypal, so they have had the goods as well as a full refund, plus I have been charged a £7.00 adminstartion fee off paypal. I have complained to ebay and they say it's a paypal problem, paypal claim that it's down to the purchasers credit card company, so there's nothing they can do.
If you now look at this person feedback they have done this to other people, they seem to know what they are doing.
Has this happened to anybody else and if so, did you manage to get the chargeback reversed in any way.

Yep, its happened to me 3 times in 2 years and leaves a real bad taste too.
From experience (unless it is a large amount) I would say to put it down to bad luck, wish them bad karma and move on.
Sometimes you can get so stressed out trying to sort it out for the 'principle' of the issue that it's only you that suffers further in the long run.
If it's a large amount, take the small claims route which costs nothing unless you actually put it through court, you can print off the form online, fill it in and send off a photocopy to them with 7 days to pay or you put the claim in, often works a treat!
Good luck!0 -
If you still have the recorded delivery slip, and it is logged as signed for, you could defend against this.My TV is broken!

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0
