in Credit cards
Yesterday I made an oline tracaction to 'Blizzard' who run Warcraft to upgrade my account. This upgrade is a once only per account trasaction.
Upon going on thier site it said 'Invalid card number' I put the correct details in tried serveral times to no avial.
I then realised I should not have resubitted it. After a call to Egg, I have been told that $260 of funds are not avaialable and are pending trasactions. They authorised the trasaction 9 times.
Called blizzard they refuse to put an adjustment through as where there concerned they have had no money. So my 130 pounds seems to be in thin air.
Where do I stand on this now, I know I have to wait to see if the transaction to show on my statement. If it does? 1. It should only be 1 payment as accounts can only be upgraded once. 2. Id like the other 8 payments back.
I had absolutly no luck on the phone with them and there based in the US, its like trying to talk to a brick wall.
I feel sick to the stomach, as I feel I have lost my cash.

As long as blizzard only request one payment the others that have been authorised will most likely just drop off the system in a few days, then those funds will become available again.
If they do end up taking all of the payments then you'll need to ask them for a refund. If they're still as useless then just contact Egg again (either by secure message or phone) and ask them to pass the other 8 transactions to the disputes team, Egg can't do anything though until they've actually taken the payments from the card.0 -
I assume you are playing the US server if you say they are in the US.
Have you tried the European number?

Inconvenient but nothing to worry about a lot of companies reserve funds which then become unavailable to you. However, they will fall of in 7 days.0 -
Not necessarily 7 days - I've had authorisations sit on my card for 30 days before (failed flight booking by eBookers, and a cancelled order with Virgin Wine.... on both occasions the customer service departments were useless and it was just easier to wait).0
