Big box full of great freebies from Matter(merged)

We’ve had some email problems recently, now fixed, and there might be some confusion about who’s getting which box. Two emails went out to Matter subscribers, last Thursday (13th Nov around 6:30pm), to tell them their box is coming and to update their details.
1. Everyone registered before 6:00pm, Sep 5th, gets the November box.
2. Everyone registered after 6:00pm, Sep 5th, gets the following box early next year.
After the earlier email problems, if anyone who is registered, but didn’t get an email, please send an email to me (contact[at]matterbox.co.uk with “NO EMAIL” in the title.

Thanks Tim, I think I registered after the 5th - Just going to check through my emails to be sure I havent missed any from Matter. Looks like I'll be getting it next year - Hope its worth the wait!!

Why do they insist in calling it a box? All you get is a little packet. They have been conning you for 10 months. Can you remember the goodies they promised you? I dont care if they never send me anything. You can get most of what they are now offering from other posts on MSE.

They never promised us any specific goodies and to be honest if it comes its a bonus and if it doesnt we havent lost anything.

Most of the freebies I apply for never turn up so the ones that do are a nice surprise.

HAHAHA, I agree with someone who posted a few pages back (sorry, I've forgotten who) - the !!!!!y comments on this thread have kept me entertained for ages! I think a lot of people are blowing this way out of proportion, a freebie is a freebie for goodness sake! I will be happy with whatever I receive and I thank Tim and his team for all of their hard work!

Very true and I would have signed up any way even if it was just a bar of chocolate.

yes because I didnt get my box so if everyone else gets 4 chockie bars and I only get 1 I couldnt care about the rest of ths stuff :-P except maybe whatever was added later to delay the posting.

Well, presumably it's called a Matter box, because it is a box and it says Matter on it in big white print. Having received one last week in error, I can't see anything to suggest Tim and the rest of the Matter staff have misled us.

Not getting it out last Saturday was unfortunate, but sending everyone the same thing at the same time was always going to be a mammoth task. For all you know, I won't get a box this Saturday but you will, and yours will contain the addition that they held off dispatching the boxes for. And it might be something really good!

Not aimed at you in particular, but I think a lot of people have been overcritical. I would be first in the line to complain if we had all actually spent money on this - but it was a total freebie. This freebie has been overhyped and unfortunately people have been upset. My advice when applying for free stuff is to assume it'll never turn up - that way you won't be disappointed if it doesn't come and you'll be surprised and delighted if it does.
