Thank you for joining Matter. We'd like to give you some stuff!
We’ll let you know how things are progressing and when the box is coming. And we’ll send you an email the day before your Matter box is due to turn up, so you can get up early (or not) and put the kettle on. Saturday is always Matter day.
If you want to change your details, you can login to the Matter site at https://www.matterbox.co.uk

THIS WILL EXPLAIN WHY THERE HAS BEEN A "DELAY" SINCE ORIGINAL POST AND WHY I WANT TO HIGHLIGHT IT AGAIN FOR THOSE WHO MISSED OUT FIRST TIME ROUND:
What is Matter
Matter is a box full of interesting stuff.
Matter is a new and unique idea in communications that brings companies and people together around real, physical stuff–things you can hold in your hands, keep in your drawer, or give to your friends. It's a new way for companies to introduce themselves by giving you something you might like.
Matter is being tested early in 2008 and the first real Matter box will be created later in the year. If you're interested in receiving the very first Matter box, you can get it here.:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

Thought I would try emailing them directly and this was the quick response received:Hi Jacci
Thanks for the email, and sorry for the lack of Matter box and conspicuous silence. No, you haven't missed it.
We were somewhat wrong-footed by the response to the first Matter edition, which was created to see if the idea had merit and so there was a lot of things we hadn't created (a business, infrastructure etc). We really didn’t expect the response (30,000 of you so far), so we've had to re-think our plans.
The next box was planned for June but is going to be a little late–probably more like September....but it will go to everyone who's joined thus far.
So, you're good to go on holiday without worrying about missing it. I'll drop you another line as soon as I have a better idea of when it's going to be, and again the day before delivery, so you'll know when to look out for it.
And if you have any questions, do please drop me a line.
Sorry again and thanks for your patience.
Warm regards:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

Seen this months ago and registered but not seen one yet!
I also have concerns about websites where passwords aren't encrypted (in the your details area) - too many people give their email and use the same passwords for everything so are you in effect giving these people access to your email account especially if its web based like hotmail??
Maybe I'm being cynical - but people need to be careful!0 -
