Beneficial Card ~ ditch Hilton HHonors link

Just received notification that Beneficial MasterCard are severing the link to Hilton HHonors from mid March 2008.
Time to go Nectar card me thinks.
Beneficial will replace the M/Card with new card without the points earning feature.
Shame, I like earning points for Hotel stays.

  • Yeah I had that letter from Beneficial too!

    It's a shame they're dropping Hilton Honors.

Does anyone else know of another card in the UK offering Hilton Honors points? There are a few cards available in the US, Germany and Japan, but I can't find any for us Brits!

hi , i too recvd this letter and what abummer it is , Ive had good use out of my hilton honors card and many a free night stay due to accumulating points on the beneficial credit card.......the only reason i took on this credit card in the first place , hence are there anyother cridit cards offering hilton points??

and if not whats the point of keeping abenefical card that no longer offers this feature
  • Thanks for the comments re. my post.
I thought I'd go for a cashback card but AMEX Nectar could be refused at places.
I reckon the PayPal MasterCard is a good offering re cashback.
    Any thoughts?

My wife rang Hilton in Glasgow. They have had dozens of calls. They say "they are looking into it."

We still have a few weeks to go.

Best bet otherwise seems to be American Express,
  • The logic being if we can't get the hotel for free we'll try for free flights instead.

hi all, the 15th of march is the day that hilton and benefical go their seperate ways , hilton honors have no other tie in with any other credit card companies in the uk that offer similar reward type setup......

as for benefical well they can go get stu... since their communication has been lacking and they dont seem too concerned about keeping 'loyal' customers so i'll be taking my debt to another credit card company .......

    cheers

The new card is run by Barclaycard and includes Silver VIP membership indefinitely. Apart from that and being a Visa card, it seems pretty similar to the old card.

I got a letter about it in the post this morning offering 10,000 bonus points.
