Brown bread - not oldstyle and not particulary moneysaving

Who says you have to have bread at all? I seem to have some sort of addition to it...if I open a loaf I can't leave it alone and end up gorging on it. And every meal when I am home is made with toast or is a sandwich. So now I don't buy it at all. It means I have a much better variety of food as I don't get into that toast/sandwich rut.
If you don't like the stuff then don't bother with it! Eat something else.0 -

I like my bread I'm afraid...a tuna & mayo sandwich just wouldn't be the same without the bread.

I have to admit that I would get thrown in the stocks by you lot if I admitted how bad my diet actually was. I am trying to change my eating habits and my brown bread thing was an easy attempt to make some sort of small change for the better. I don't have the time or the inclination to sort my diet out properly just now....home renovation (I'm the DIY'er in our house) and family issues have ensured the stress levels are constantly high and the last thing I need or want to tackle is my diet. Quick and easy (without thought) is the order of the day at the moment.
Since home made bread is not even on the horizon of possibility just now, I was chuffed to find what I felt was a better alternative to the usual white rubbish we eat. So whilst it still may not be as good as it could be (health wise), it's certainly better than our usual loaf of choice.
I didn't know you could buy packet bread mixes............might be handy to keep in the cupboard for emergencies (that's if I ever get time to make the thing, that is. Lol!)Herman - MP for all!

Sainsburys make a Multi Grain Loaf on the bakery dept where you can get it sliced.........I don't eat anything else breadwise if I can help it and it is the best tasting brown bead I have ever eaten..........it is a about 89p for large loaf................it does vary somewhat from store to to store.......it smells gorgeous and has loads of seeds and grains............ seven I think.........I am sure if you bought one when house viewers were coming round it would help with selling a house as well as coffee is purported to do..................Warning it is addictive.........everyone I have recommended it to loves it0

Don't have a Sainsburys I'm afraid.
Oh and the smell of coffe would put me off buying a house. I hate that too *spit, spit*.
