Anne Frank London Lens Competition
a competition complementing the Anne Frank London Schools project
Looking out of her attic window, Anne Frank saw beauty, hope and freedom from her hiding place – even when, all around her, hatred and persecution was dividing society. She dreamed of an accepting and peaceful world.

Through collecting your images, we want to celebrate the unity and beauty of the world's most diverse city - your <st1:city w:st="on"><st1>:place w:st="on">London</st1>:place></st1:city>. The idea behind the Trust's London Lens competition, sponsored by Olympus <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1>:place w:st="on">UK</st1>:place></st1:country-region>, is to bring the capital's young community together, so you can share your creativity.

We want to see your local area through your photos. We want you to capture what <st1:city w:st="on"><st1>:place w:st="on">London</st1>:place></st1:city> means to you. So, by collecting images from across the city, we will be able to paint a positive picture of young <st1:city w:st="on"><st1>:place w:st="on">London</st1>:place></st1:city>.

The power of your pictures can break down the barriers between different cultures, territory and postcodes and celebrate the city we all love.
How to enter and the rules
<o>:p> </o>:p>
All entries will go on to a special public online gallery as soon as they are received.
25 entries from across <st1:city w:st="on">London</st1:city> will be shortlisted and displayed at a <st1:city w:st="on"><st1>:place w:st="on">London</st1>:place></st1:city> gallery space at the presentation event in September 2008. One will be selected from each <st1:city w:st="on"><st1>:place w:st="on">London</st1>:place></st1:city> region (North, South, East, West) and put forward to the grand final.
<o>:p> </o>:p>
The overall winner will take home a fantastic 7.1 mega pixel <st1>:place w:st="on">Olympus</st1>:place> μ790 SW!

Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Birmingham Childrens Hospital caring for my tiny and very poorly grandson who was born at 29 weeks. Thanks to them he is getting a little stronger every day.:A:A:A
