Some decent spec laptops under £250

I used a Compaq laptop with Vista Premium, a Core Duo T2310(new entry level dual core processor) with 1Gb of RAM and it was being used at 70% for normal running which is pretty high. When opening programs it definitely took its time, even when i added another 1Gb of ram, dread to think what it would be like with Celeron or Sempron processors.
