Free Haircut with herbal essences

I did this before and found a very nice hairdresser.
If you find it expensive then check whether there is a collecge in your local area.
I have a college near me and I've had 3 fabulous full body massages for £10 a time (it lasted at least an hour, so would be about £40 normally).
I've had a perm for £20 and haircut for £7.
It costs me about £14 for a semie-permanent colour and cut.
I can highly recommend it but be prepared to spend the whole evening there.
If you get a "new" student then they might have to wait for the lecturer and it can take several hours. I've had trims that have taken 3 hours before !!
However definitely very good value for money.
They don't tend to be well publicised so you need to find them.
Here's the one in wiltshire.

I don't believe it. I was in Boots the other day and Herbal Essences was on BOGOF so I purchased 2 bottles with my Boots points and one bottle had the free hair cut on it but I have since through out the receipt. :mad:0

when you say you were allocated helwarren, does this mean you can't pick? I live in Rhondda Cynon Taff, but spend more time in Cardiff and as this would be easier for me, I'd want to book something there. Anyone help?! I've bought my bottle (with my Boots points, so it was free!) and I've got split ends that need coming off as I haven't been chopped in 15 months!Surveys nerd :wave:0

no last year you couldnt chose, they just sent a voucher with the contact details of the salon. However see on the form they have asked for a town/city so may be bit more flexible. only just got round to applying myself so can't say for sure.0 -
Have never managed to get a free haircut yet. Prima had an offer but the salon said that I had been there before so was not eligible. With Herbal Essences I tried to claim my free haircut last year and the salon refused to honour it and when I phoned the help line the were taking messages and didn't get back to me. Difficult to keep phoning as it was an 0870 number and only open during working hours and calls at work are monitored. Still have the voucher. Heres hoping this year is my lucky one!0

this herbal essence promotion is certainly one which hasnt been thought through properly.
I recieved my voucher for the free haircut at a salon nominated by herbal essence which was 10 miles away about a month ago, Even though i put on the form my pref for salons closest to me. Anyway a free haircut being a freehaircut i though ok lets book an appointment, so i rang the salon maybe 10-15 times (every day for at least two weeks) and all i got was an answerphone.
not very good so i rang herbal essences on there helpline @10p/min to ask what is happening they said to send the voucher in again so they can reissue and which they would do so promptly. Recorded Delivery to ensure it got there cost >£1
tweo weeks have passed since i sent it in and today i rang them to ask wheres my voucher, they told me one can only be issued if salons are available in my area. and it can take up to 21 days.
This means i wont be getting my free haircut before my friends wedding (which i why i applied for it in the first place two months ago)
im begining to wonder if all this is really worth it
so far
£2.48 for the herbal essence shampoo
£1.08 for recorded delivery
£0.36 for your own SAE
£1.08 for (resending recorded delivery)
£1.80 two calls calling herbal essence helpline 0870 number
£2.00 petrol costs for getting to and from salon miles away
(+ £1.50 possible parking charge)
In Total > £10 !!!
(and this doesnt include) waiting about for voucher to drop through and aggro of having to get to post box, not being able to get a haircut in time for a wedding, interview etc
im beginning to think my experienced local salon which charges £15 for the same thing is better value and less aggro.0 -
I seem to be having a lot of problems too, i have waited 28 days so far and made a call to the helpline and was told that the voucher had been sent out that day but alas i still await it!!! Im realyl dissapointed in the company both infact the promo company and the shampoo company!!
So really i am stuck in limbo with it because all they do is fob you off when you call!!!
