Hi, I hope I've got the correct section of this Forum! I've just signed up for a Card Insurance Policy (29.00 a year) which would protect me & family if we had cards stolen, used freudulantly etc, etc. This was a bit of hard selling when I rang by bank to acknowledge receipt of my debit card. I have a week left on the time in which I can change my mind and I am wondering.... Is it worth it? I know its not much per year, but is it yet another insurance I thought was a good idea at the time? Perhaps someone has some views which will help. Sorry if this has been mentioned before but couldn't find anything on it. Thanks.

Hi Clapton, you can claim if your card is used by other persons or if your cards get stolen, they will get you new ones and pay any expenses, ie. hotel bills if needed. Obviously you then pay this back. Emergency back up really I suppose. Also deals with keys if they get lost. I should check out if banks do this anyway I suppose. Just wondered if anyone else takes this type of insurance out?0

If its Sentinel it may be worth having if its an internal bank policy I would suggest a waste of time in most cases.0
