Moving day today! - finally after 3 months instead of 6 weeks we are on our way. The house we are buying is empty (deceased) & the people buying ours are not selling their current house, it should have been so quick but you wouldn't believe (yeah, you would) all the hiccups & feet dragging all the way.
Wish me luck my fellow moneysavers as I'm going to be offline for a couple of weeks as this house we've bought has got to be completely rewired so I'm only putting in the beds, a kettle & a corkscrew!

Good luck in your move! There are 10 types of people in the world, those that understand binary and those that don't
In many cases it helps if you say where you are - someone with local knowledge might be able to give local specifics rather than general advice0 -
Our first house was a vacant repossession, and that took over two months from offer to moving in. I remember what a great feeling it was to finally get in, though...
Good luck!0 -
I had the same situation, was selling my flat with no chain and it took 4 months. My buyers solicitors were soo slow it was unbelivable - thats what happens when you dont use a dedicated solicitor and you use one of those big chains that the estate agents try and push you to use.
Anyhow, good luck in your move.
