Has anyone had any dealings with this company because I'm having major hassle with them!
I ordered a PS3 remote control from Marshall Ward at the start of January, I had a delivery notice posted through the door on Thursday 17th Jan saying they needed a signature and would call again, I got another delivery notice on Friday 18th saying I had 5 working days to contact them or it would be sent back. So I was working all week and didn't get to call them until Friday 25th January, 5 working days after I received the notice. I got this really rude girl on the phone who told me it wasn't with them anymore, Marshall Ward had decided they'd held onto it for long enough and demanded it back. I queried why I had been told 5 working days when they sent it back before then and was just told because they'd held onto it for so long. Anyway, she basically told me to ring MW as it wasn't her problem.
Rang MW to be told that their records said it was still in Carrickfergus and he'd never heard of the company calling back good in that way, he was as puzzled as I was. Told me to wait for it to arrive with them and it would be sent back out. So I waited until Friday 1st Feb and called MW again to be told it was STILL sitting in Carrickfergus and a note was on my account saying 'To Be Delivered By Feb 5th' and just to wait. So Feb 5th is tomorrow and there's still no sign, my husband birthday has been and gone with no present and I'm really fed up.
Please can anyone tell me if I should just cancel the order because I really get the feeling someone has pinched it.

Did they used to be Famac? Anyway, got a delivery from them a few weeks ago on behalf of Marks and Spencer. Box was ripped to pieces and the driver, who was about 60, opened the conversation with... "See those f&*kers around the corner, cheeky bas&*rds told me that I'm at the wrong house" Charming!!0

Hi, from my personal experience I would cancel or ask MW to use a different courier.
The one & only time I dealt with HDN they were unhelpful & rude! My order was with Amazon & I've never had problems with them (before or since this particular order).
They only deliver Mon-Fri between 9 & 5. Also, they don't have a depot collection option. They had the same '5 days to rearrange delivery notice'. When I argued that I couldn't take a whole day off to wait for them they said 'tough'. They asked if it could be delivered to another address & I said yes, then I was told that I'd have to contact Amazon to change the address. I did this (Amazon were very helpful) but the next 2 attempted deliveries were to the original address. The driver hadn't bothered to read the corrections (so they said). Again I had to go back to Amazon to get anything done. 2 weeks later it was eventually delivered to my alternative address. Amazon have ended their contract with HDN (they told me on the phone they were getting too many complaints & no response from HDN). They use citylink & parcelforce now.
I'm sorry you're having so many problems, I hope it's resolved for you very soon.0 -
Well, you'll not be surprised to hear that I've not received anything from them, can't even phone them as I'm working 12 hour shifts atm and I won't be spending my lunchtime chasing round after them. I'll be calling MW back again on Friday.Norn Iron Club member 273:beer:0

Have a read through the original Famac Thread for some previous issues and a list of companies who were using them.0 -

I ordered 2 tv and tv stand via CDisount for next day delivery. The following day 2 parcels arrived i.e. tv and stand. When i asked the driver where the other parcel was he said he only had 2 and the other one was probably on another vehicle. I checked the online tracking system which showed that all 3 items were loaded at Oldbury at the same time. When I contacted CDiscount they said they could not phone HDNL as they had no phone number but would phone me the next day, which true to their word they did. However, I was advised the tv was now in Ireland. I again checked their tracking device which showed the item was sent to Droitwich Spa so it had to pass my house to get there. How did it get to Ireland no one knows and cares. I cannot find anything out. This item was due to go to Pakistan and i am going round in circles. Any ideas and can i claim compenstion. I asked CDiscount to send me another one out today to quarantee delivery and said they cant unil i receive the orginal. What do i do know. Can you please help0
