Hi there, I'm trying to help out a family member with their finances and regards to this company. They have today applied for a loan and been 'guaranteed' an acceptance. They have already pain the £49.50 acceptance fee and they aim to pay out in 5 working days. Today being classed as day 1! Now I've googled this company and looked on here and it's not looking good. Is there anyone out there who has had success with these guys?
Thanks in anticipation

I too tried Advantage with their guarantee of a loan and paid the £49.50 and all i can say is that it was one of the worst descions i have ever made. They will try to fob you off with a company called FLM who want a gurantor, if you dont go with FLM they will throw out random companies who they have no working relationship with without any thought to your credit history. There customer service is appalling, they dont listen to a single word you say to them. They have your money, so why would they care.
My advice is to get your money back from them as soon as possible and just walk away

I've googled them and its not looking good. I've managed to get an e-mail address of some top boss there who seems to be helping dissatisfied customers get their money back.
Think I'll hang on a few days and see what happens with sister. If she doesn't get anything I'll try and get her money back for her. She keeps saying 'there must be some satisfied customers out there' Gullible!!!!0 -
i too have been sucked in by "tenantloans"/"advantage loans". it was one of those desperate situations... im on incapacity and try to get by on £72 a week, fell into one of those mounting debt situations, and tenant loans sounded like my best friend. got offered a (shameful, but i was desperate)46% apr on a £1500 loan with guess who.. FLM... problem solved, no! they wanted a gaurantor, so went to mum, thank god she said no. but im still £50 down. not only that but they forwarded the incorrect details to flm so even if i wanted this extortionate loan and had a gaurantor, would i be eligible if told them i only get half of what they think i get a month (£624). is there any way i can get this money back because its £50 i cant afford to lose.0

I'm sure it was on here that I read about the e-mail address of the big cheese of this company, apparently if you e-mail his directly he'll give you your money back.....0

Hi guys this is the thread I was on about, it's not from MSE so I hope I'm not breaking any rules by posting the comment
'Advantage Loans offer a really simple service. We find the best loan, at the best APR, with the loan amount closest to what an applicant is looking for, based on the applicant's individual circumstances. We cannot ever guarantee the APR or the amount of the loan that will be made because that is ultimately down to lenders.
Because we are completely independent we charge a flat one-off fee for our service. This is necessary because we receive nothing at all from lenders.
No broker that doesn't charge a fee can ever promise to find the best loan for you, or say that they can choose from any UK lender. Brokers of this type are working for a particular lender, not for their applicants.
Most importantly if you are not happy with the loan which we have found for you you can get a refund straight away, simply by emailing me at james.benamor@postnet.uk.com'0 -
thank you i have emailed the guy, ill let you know how i get on0

...here, I've listed all the details on the flyer.
Perhaps those of you who have had dealings with any of these trading names could comment how the company information at the bottom compares to what you have.
(BTW we lost £50 because my wife applied to Tenant Loans, and I didn't have the foresight to check out who she was dealing with, and no we don't have a guarantor and I'm unwilling to borrow at 46%APR - 15%APR was I thought pushing it a bit!)0 -
Can you believe it, my sister received her paperwork today from these 'professionals' She applied for a loan of £15000 and wsas guaranteed acceptance. Her paperwork was received from FLM today for a loan of £3000 requesting a guarantor (which she stipulated she didn't want) and was being charged a whopping 44.5% APR. Who are they kidding.
I have just composed a very 'up front' eail telling them basically where to stuff their interest rate and requesting her money back immediately.
Think they have done her a favour because now I can teach her all about MSE!!!0 -
Blood sucking parasites the lot of them.
Thank God your sister has you to help her see sense.
Just makes you wonder how many times these chancers receive £50 from this scam doesn't it?0
