I have almost convinced myself to buy these as I Loooove my electronic gadgets, but wondered if you experts to answer a couple of quickies for me?
Can I use them with my IPod or as surround speakers from my Sky Box? Or even use them as speakers for my existing stereo?
All info would be welcome.

you can use them with them all, the soundsticks have an integrated amp, and a 3.5mm jack0

iPod - yes no problem.
Sky TV - no they will not do surround sound, only stereo. You will probably need a 3.5mm jack to RCA adaptor to plug into the Sky box.
Existing stereo - only if you plug into the headphone socket.
IMHO the JBL Creature is just as good and less than half the price.
