Hi there, hoping someone can help.
We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children aged 11 and 14 and at the moment are looking to go for a beach holiday with some sun! We're not keen on going to a big resorts which is what the holiday companies seem to offer and would like to avoid the stereotypical British holiday maker! We don't really know where to go, does anyone have any suggestions. We'd like to fly from the Midlands area, although would go further afield. Budget is about £2500/£3000 but cheaper would be better! Bit of a wide brief, any ideas???
Thanks in advance xx

you should be able to get all inclucsive in egypt for that or maybe turkey but it depends on when you are going, if you can take the kids out for the holiday before the school break up you will find a lot more options and prices, last minute deals to places like mexico and cuba come up for around the 3 grand mark but you will need to hunt about a bit as some companies classify your children at their age as adults where others don't0

We went to Cuba last summer with the holiday place-flew from Gatwick though

My children were the same ages as yours. We had 7 nights in Guardalavaca which was all inclusive and right on the beach then 3 nights B&B in Havana.
It cost about £2600 for us all. It was an amazing holiday and totally different to any other holiday we've been on. We don't like the big resort type places either. Once in Cuba it's really cheap to do anything.
We spent about £900 in the 10 days including 3 excursions. We did a vintage car tour of Havana, an all day catamaran tour with snorkelling, free bar, lobster lunch and swimming with dolphins and an inland jeep safari including horseriding and a bbq lunch. Wealso bought presents for friends and family out the £900 we spent.0 -
I can second theholidayplace, I went to cuba with them back in 2001 adn we did a two centre holiday as the above poster, Havana is wonderful and if you are going all that way you can not miss going there for a few days, we also went down to Guardalacavia, really lovely down that way0
