Brit Gas rep came round last week trying to get us to sign up to their elec (we already get their gas) and we said we'd be interested. Apparently, if you go paperless you stay on their old tariffis (ie miss the recent price hike) but I don't know for how long.
They claim to be the cheapest elec supplier - are they right? should we change?
thanks,
EMma.

Positive vibes:
Spending less than £100 on food shopping in May.
organising cheap/free days out with friends
Negative vibes:
Being £1100 in my overdraft

There have been a number of bad reports on here of BG Click Energy, tho things may have improved since the early days. Not many reports of good transfers, then that would be expected.
They must be cheap because they are about level with my provider EBICO whose tariffs are recognized as economic for low users.0

whatever you do do not sign upto paperless billing with BG
i have just had the worst experience with a company ever with BG over the past 12 months since i signed upto paperless billing
 paperless = no bills whatsoever
for 12 months i could access my account but could never access the details of my bill......i.e. i would only see what i owed (front page of online account)
for over 12 months BG tried to do it so i could access my account online....eventually they gave up and closed my online account (now i just have a standard paper billing account)
i have only just received a bill for the last two quaters on my gas account (i will never receive bills for the previous two quarters and have given up all hope of ever receiving them)
i have still not received any bills for my electricity account
i have received letters threatening to break into my house, take me to court, turn my electric off and gas off etc etc ...i receive probably 2 a week (not fun when you have two small babies)
all i have ever asked for is a bill0

I signed up for paperless billing and the first bill came both online and through the post. This was electricity-only (no gas). The online account makes it easy to submit meter readings and can display a past usage graph which can be quite useful.0

I changed to BG click energy 4 from SP in August and then signed up for paperless billing. ( everything was fine)
In November i went back to SP via quidco cashback, ive now applied to go back to BG Click energy 4 and will sign up for paperless billing again. :cool:0
