You can't fly to New York on Concorde any more - BA scrapped them years ago!!You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0

Dozy person, shot himself in the foot by saying he hadn't been even though he pays so much money over the year.0

I just wish I had that kinda money to throw away...or not. I wish I had that kinda money to SAVE!0

Not only is he a Richard for wasting the money, he should have sold himself better when trying for guest passes. let them think the guests are interested in a membership but like to make up their own minds without pressure.
Ps I am glad I am a member of the Glasgow Club, lesss than £10 a week couples membership at empoyee rate (gf works for Glasgow city council, I would be allowed the same corporate rate even if she didn't) mean of 3 times a week each, a single class costs £4.20 to non members. Free to club members. so we save £15.20 a week with this option. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

Is it not written that a fool and his money are soon parted. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0

£1,500 for a gym membership........ that'd cover my electricity costs for about 2 1/2 years!!!!!!!! What a wally.“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.” - Oscar Wilde0

The other thing that amazes me though is that this guy is an easy money maker for the gym - he doesn't wear out their equipment, he doesn't need supervising or have anyone on hand for his non use and he doesn't overcrowd the gym allowing them to sell more memberships to people.
If he gets irritated enough then he might just cancel his paying non membership and in his place the gym might get stuck with some guy who actually uses their facilities.
So he cancels and takes his non membership elsewhere and loses the gym a whack load of money? It seems that the gym are just a mindlessly money wasting as he is

What an idiot. I would never pay for a membership for a gym in the first place unless I was totally committed to going frequently, but this guy's clearly a bit of a plum.Live for what tomorrow has to bring, not what yesterday has taken away0

Isn't exercise bad for you? I'm sure it is - you're always hearing about sports injuries and such.

£1500 sounds a lot, but it is actually Virgin Active's standard gym membership for inner London! (I actually thought it was around £75 a month).
The joys (ah-um.. ) of living in London.....
By the way, I think many would be surprised by the amount of people who are signed up for gyms, out of their contract period, but don't ever go - I can name a handful of my friends without trying too hard! I agree though - what a dreadful waste of money!0
