I went browsing on the OS board last night and found fabulous sites to put together mixes (like rice mixes for example) that you can assemble but then store in the cupboard - might be worth checking out if you're wanting to prepare some food but have no freezer space!

Ooh Sea that sounds great, any chance you can pm me the sites. This is especially good for me as we have a foreign student staying with us for another month and all he ever wants to eat is rice and am running out of things to do with it. Cheers

  • Today I have:
    • [strike]cook dinner as per mealplanner[/strike] Yes
    • [strike]dry clothes indoors[/strike] Yes
    • [strike]review savings accounts [/strike] Yes
    • [strike]go over budgets and mealplanners for the month and cut off at least 10%[/strike] Yes
    • apply for Jan travel expenses - also to go straight to kitchen No - didn't have time today, will do it tomorrow
    • [strike]set up seperate spreadsheet for kitchen savings from now on[/strike] Yes
I hope everyone had a good day!

By making all sauces from scratch, and by making batch stews and things like lasagne/shepherd's pie etc, I will save about 15% of my already reduced grocery budget:T
    Helps that it's a short month too:D
I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.
